Inquilines associated with oak cynipid galls on Quercus in the Holarctic Region. Two genera are known worldwide ( Ceroptres Hartig, 1840 and Buffingtonella Lobato-Vila & Pujade Villar, 2019 ) ( Buffington et al. 2020). A total of two species in one genus are previously known from Türkiye ( Azmaz & Katılmış 2017b).
