Recorded from near London by Walker (1835). This species is doubtfully different from S. osaces (Walker) , the differences mentioned by Vlug (1985) hardly justify their treatment as separate species, but the scarce material at hand is an insufficient basis from which to decide whether the differences are with or without intermediate forms.
