COMMENTS

Fossil representatives of Mysidacea are relatively rare and few fossils have been identified to date. Elder ungulatus Münster,1839 , and also Francocaris grimmi Borili, 1917 , both from the Jurassic Solnhofen limestones of Bavaria, are generally included among the Mysidacea .However, Schram (1986) andTaylor etal. (2001) did not agree with this attribution. Indeed, they said that these taxa are ‘‘too poorly understood to permit an unqualified assignment”.
