Material. Solomon Islands: 1 specimen (MNHN-IU-2007-4731), station CP2207, 7°43.8’S 158°29.7’E, XI 2004, depth 336–341 m, Solomon Island, NW Isabel. Bouchet, Warén & Samedi-IRD coll.

Remarks. Bamber (2004b) listed the records of this large species from this region, and recorded six specimens from the Solomon Islands at depths between 140 and 723 m. Its range is the tropical western Pacific Islands (type locality New Guinea).
