Remarks: This species is known from a few localities in Florida ( USA) and along the Antilles islands chain in the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea, and from the Indian Ocean. However, the localities reported by Renaud- Mornant (1984b) are unclear, as the author stated that this species accompanied Parastygarctus sterreri , but no details were provided for the samples. Our interpretation of this record may be incorrect and its distribution in the Caribbean may be slightly smaller. It is an intertidal and interstitial species collected from 30–100 cm deep in sand.
