Remarks: Stygarctus gourbaultae is known from a few localities from Florida ( USA) and along the Antilles islands arc in the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean; however, the localities reported by Renaud-Mornant (1984b) are unclear. The author stated that this species accompanied Parastygarctus sterreri , but gave no indication of which samples. This means that the number of records of this taxon may be slightly smaller than reported here. This is an interstitial and intertidal species collected (0–65 cm deep) in sand.
