Holotype: Male, INPA-AR 65, Brazil, Amazonas, rio Solimões , ilha da Marchantaria (03°15'S, 59°58'W), várzea inundation forest, H. Höfer leg., 13.XII.1987.

manauensis Carico in Carico, Adis & Penny, 1985: 289, figs 1–4. Trechalea = T. amazonica F.O.Pickard-Cambridge, 1903: Carico, 1993: 251. Holotype: Male, INPA-AR 64, Brazil, Amazonas, near Manaus, rio Solimões , ilha da Marchantaria , J. Adis leg., 28.IV.1981.

Remark: Carico (1985) published the sampling date as 28.IV.1981, but the holotype’s label states that it is 28.VI.1981.
