Bryconidae

Brycon medemi Dahl, 1960a: 461 , unnumbered fig. Holotype ( Fig. 4 ): ICN-MHN 41 (110 mm SL), Colombia, Chocó, Sucio River, upper Atrato River, quebrada La Noche , western versant, Cordillera Occidental , 550 m asl.; G. Dahl, 9 Aug 1959. Paratypes ICN-MHN 73 (2, 72.18–72.32 mm SL), collected with the holotype .

Remarks: Cala (1981) did not cited four additional paratypes from the Quebrada Unguía collected in 18 Sept. 1959. We also failed to find these specimens and, consequently assume they were lost.

Brycon tovari Dahl, 1960a: 465 , unnumbered fig. Holotype ( Fig. 5 ): ICN-MHN 110 (135 mm SL), Colombia, Chocó, Chigorodo, Sandó River tributary of Baudó River , western versant, Cordillera Occidental; G. Dahl, 28 Nov 1959 . Paratypes ICN-MHN 67 (4), G. Dahl, 24 Nov 1959.

Remarks: paratypes lost. Currently treated as a junior synonym of Brycon meeki Eigenmann & Hildebrand 1918 ( Lima, 2003) .
