Vernacular Names: McIlhenny's Four-eyed Opossum.

Distribution: Amazon Basin of C Perú and W Brazil.

Discussion: Previously included in P. andersoni ; reviewed by Patton and Silva (1997). The spelling mcilhenyi Pérez-Hernández, 1990, is an incorrect subsequent spelling of mcilhennyi Gardner and Patton.
