Etymology. The specific name is an adjective taken from the type locality.

Diagnosis. Cheiramiona nyungwensis sp. nov. is similar to C. simplicitarse (Simon, 1910) in the triangular shape of the EM and the long, hooked TA, but is differentiated by the longer palpal tibia and the smaller bifid RTA ( Figs 71–72 View FIGURES 61 – 72. 61 – 63 , see Lotz 2002: figs 164–165).

Description. Male (n = 1): TL = 3.8; CL = 1.6; CW = 1.3; OAL = 0.3; OAW = 0.7; CLL = 0.1. Chelicerae: robust with long fangs; PMT:RMT = 3:3 ( Fig. 70 View FIGURES 61 – 72. 61 – 63 ). Measurements: AME–AME 0.10; AME–ALE 0.10; AME diameter 0.10; PME–PME 0.15; PME–PLE 0.15; PME diameter 0.10; MOQAW 0.30; MOQPW 0.35; CI (CL/ CW) 1.23; LL:CL 4.88; STL 0.9; STW 0.9. Leg measurements: I—2.0+0.7+2.0+2.1+1.0 = 7.8; II— 1.6+0.6+1.5+1.5+0.7 = 5.9; III—1.2+0.5+1.0+1.3+0.5 = 4.5; IV—1.8+0.6+1.8+1.8+0.7 = 6.7; Palp— 0.9+0.3+0.4+0.7 = 2.3. Leg spines: I—0, 0-1p-0, 2v- 0- 1 v; II—0, 0, 2v- 0- 1 v; III—0, 0-1p1r-0, 2v- 1p1r-3 v1 p1r; IV—0, 0-1p1r-0, 2v-1 v1 p1r -3 v1 p1r. Abdomen: creamy-yellow with faint heart mark. Palp ( Figs 71–72 View FIGURES 61 – 72. 61 – 63 ): cymbium elongate, equal to patella plus tibia length; tibia with short broad bifid RTA, with both apices rounded; TA slightly sclerotized, with hooked apex; EM short, thick at base, narrowing to sharp apex; CON finger-like, prolateral side next to the EM sclerotized. Female: unknown.

Distribution. Only known from the type locality ( Fig. 101 View FIGURES 101 – 102 ).
