CURRENT STATUS. Valid species (Brooks 1988).

DISTRIBUTION. Russia: European part, Ural, Siberia; Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, China.

REMARK. The species was described from the specimens of both sexes collected in

“ gub. Astrachan ”. There is only one male in ZISP from this locality, which corresponds to the original description of Morawitz. This male is designated here as a lectotype of Anthophora deserticola Morawitz ( Fig. 14 View Figs 1–24 ) .
