REMARKS

The identity of Jacquemontia hispida remains unknown, eventhough it has been considered related to J. erecta by Meisner (1869), who distinguished them by peduncle length and sepal shape. However, J. hispida is unlikely to belong to the informal group studied here, because its sepals are described as cordate at base.
