Type Locality: Surinam.

Vernacular Names: White-winged Dog-like Bat.

Distribution: Peru, Colombia, N and E Brazil, Venezuela, Guianas.

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc).

Discussion: Subgenus Peronymus . Formerly placed in its own genus ( Peronymus ), but clearly a member of the Peropteryx clade, see Griffiths and Smith (1991), Jones and Hood (1993), Dunlop (1998), and Simmons and Voss (1998).
