VI. Species Incertae Sedis

Vaejovis mumai Sissom

( Figs. 329–333)

Sissom (2000) removed Vaejovis mumai and its sister species V. spicatus Haradon from the nitidulus group, stating that they share characters with Serradigitus , Syntropis , and members of the eusthenura , intrepidus , and punctipalpi groups of Vaejovis . The setal and spinule counts of V.mumai demonstrate characteristics similar to Serradigitus and the northern montane species of the mexicanus group (i.e., Vaejovis vorhiesi and its allies).
