Ride, 1962, Aust. J. Sci., 24:367-372, discussed generic nomenclature for all Macropodinae. Van Gelder, 1977, Am. Mus. Novit., 2635:1-25, included Thylogale and Wallabia in this genus; but see Kirsch and Calaby, 1977:17; Corbet and Hill, 1980:17- 18.
