Ecology and distribution. Leucodermia boryi has been recorded in the departments of Boyacá, Caldas, Casanare, Cauca, Cundinamarca, Nariño, Norte de Santander, Tolima, and Valle del Cauca, in sub-Andean and Andean forests from 1500 to 3000 m a.s.l., on bark, along with other species of the same genus and liverworts (Díaz- Escandón 2017). In SNSM, it was found in intervened forests and coffee crops of the Andean and sub-Andean forests, between 1520 and 2220 m a.s.l., on bark.
