Positive for nitrate reduction and β -galactosidase activity. Negative for indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, esculin hydrolysis, gelatinase and urease activities. Does not utilize D-glucose, L-arabinose, N -acetylglucosamine, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid.
