Malirekus iroquois Stark & Szczytko, 1988 (Perlodidae) View in CoL

. This species was described by Stark & Szczytko (1988) from specimens collected in the northern Appalachians of the USA. Malirekus iroquois has been previously recorded in Canada from cold headwater streams of Quebec (Stark & Szczytko 1988). It was another rarely collected stonefly species from small, cool streams in the Cape Breton Island highland region, with nine larvae collected from three sites in late summer and fall.
