The Lasioglossum ruidosense   species-group

Species included. Lasioglossum hemimelas   , L. ruidosense   , and L. versans   .

Diagnosis. Members of the L. ruidosense   species-group are easily recognised by the following combination of characters in addition to the subgeneric characters of Dialictus   . Head and mesosoma dull metallic, mesoscutal punctures widely separated between parapsidal lines, mesepisternum granular-imbricate, metasomal terga dark brown. Females: T 1 anterior surface with evenly distributed erect hairs but no appressed hair fan, propodeum usually with lateral carina short not reaching dorsal margin. Males: Gonocoxite basally much wider than gonobase, gonostylus with medially directed elongate hairs, penis valve with strong dorsal crest.

Distribution. Alaska, east to Nova Scotia, south to high elevations in northern Mexico.
