Diagnosis. In both Dieida persa and D. ledereri the thorax, abdomen and wings are covered with orange scales. Both species are also known only by females. As revealed in this study, no external and morphological differences were observed between the populations from Turkey, Iran and Transcaucasia. The type of D. ledereri was also compared with non-type specimens of D. persa collected in Iran and no differences were found. Therefore, D. persa is being considered as junior synonym of D. ledereri .
