LT: Derbent , 25 km N Tehera n [ Iran]. Type material (holotype) in NMW .

Material examined. NMW: Holotype (♂), allotype (♀) and paratypes (8 ♂♂, 2 ♀♀), Iran, Derbent (= Darband ), 2000 m, 25 km N. Teheran (= Tehrân), 2000 m, 7.–15.vi.[19]63, leg. Kasy & Vartian.

Diagnosis. Dyspessa elbursensis derbenti Daniel, 1964 is very light colored (including hind wing), with light streaks in the discal area of the forewing. Furtheremore, its forewing has a relatively sharp angle ( Fig. 6B View FIGURE 6 ). However, D. elbursensis is well distinguished by a dark pattern of the wings, a blunt shorter forewing, and the dark gray hind wing ( Fig. 6C View FIGURE 6 ). Based on the direct examination of the type specimens and the above mentioned differences, D. elbursensis derbenti Daniel, 1964 is here raised to the species level.
