Type Locality: Colombia, Antioquia, Municipality of Sonsón, ca. 15 km along La Soledad road E of Sonsón; 5°40'N, 75°05'W; 1,200 m. GoogleMaps
Vernacular Names: Antioquian Sac-winged Bat.
Distribution: Known only from the Cordillera Central of N Colombia.
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Not evaluated (new species).
Discussion: Most similar to gymnura ; see Muñoz and Cuartas (2001).
