Current name: Cystoseira usneoides (L.) M. Roberts ( Cystoseiraceae ).

Note: Although Roberts (in Bot. J. Linn. Soc., Bot. 60: 260. 1968) believed this to be a superfluous name for F. usneoides L. (1759) , the protologues of the two names are far from identical, although the annotations to material in LINN suggest that Linnaeus regarded them as conspecific.
