Type not designated.

Original material: Herb. Burman, 3 sheets ( G)  .

Current name: Chironia jasminoides L.  ( Gentianaceae  ).

Note: Marais & Verdoorn (in Dyer & al., Fl. Southern Africa 26: 224. 1963) stated that the type was "based on Burmann’s specimens from the Cape, seen by Linnaeus and evidently not preserved but specimens in Burmann’s herbarium fit the description".
