Rhipicerides Latreille, 1834: 167 [stem: Rhipicer-]. Type genus: Rhipicera Latreille, 1816. Comment: published in issue 1 of volume 3 of the Annales de la Société Entomologique de France; this family-group name was also used in the same year by Laporte (1834a: 226, as Rhipicerites ) in issue 2 of volume 3 of the same journal.
