Distribution.

Madagascar (widespread and common) ( Guignot 1959-1961; Bertrand and Legros 1971; Bameul 1984; Rocchi 1991; Bukontaite et al. 2015).

Habitat in study area

(Fig. 2B, C View Figure 2 ). This species was collected only at peripheral sites, in various kinds of water bodies (lentic or slowly flowing) in open areas. It prefers habitats with at least some vegetation and is tolerant to anthropogenic pressure.
