D i a g n o s i s: These beetles are characterized by showing a body that is completely castaneous, except for 3 small yellow spots on each elytral disc These traits will distinguish the members of this species from congeners.
D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 12.0 mm; width 4.0 mm. Form: As in Fig. 119 View Figs 116-119 . Head: Frons wider than length of antennal pedicel; EW/FW 50/50. Thorax: Pronotum with 2 tumescenses ( PW /PL 150/190); elytral disc sculptured with striate asetiferous oval punctures; metathoracic femur gradually increasing in diameter to femoral apex. V a r i a t i o n: Size: Length 8.0-14.0 mm; width 2.5-3.8 mm. The yellow spots on the elytral disc vary in prominence.
N a t u r a l h i s t o r y: Specimens were collected from May through September, one at 1,646 m, and one on Chihuahuan pine [( Pinus leiophylla SCHIEDE ex SCHITDL & CHAM. (Pinaceae) ].
