Male characters. Tibia armament: male specimen from Egypt [1.8.0][6.8.1][9/10.7.4], dorsal spines of hindtibia distributed into two groups (7/8+3). The armament of the hindtibia noted by Salfi for the type specimens from Libya is slightly different [10.7.5] and raises the question whether the specimens from Egypt really represent Salfi’s species. Unfortunately, none of the other characters requested for a comparison are treated in the original description, and the author’s drawings of the tibial armament are not reliable since they show unrealistic high numbers of spines on the front- (altogether 13 spines) and midtibia (11 dorsal spines). The data now listed in Table 1 View TABLE 1 are all from the Egypt specimen. Dorsal spines of midtibia and ventral spines of the hindtibia show an unusual arrangement: they are inserted rather close to the spines of the respective apical whorl, separated by less than half of the spine length; and the ventral spines of the hindtibia are arranged relatively close together fairly in a longitudinal line. This arrangement resembles in some way the situation found in the genus Nymphrytria , in which, however, the respective spines are much stronger and longer, nearer together and arranged in a strict line, including also one apical spine.—Subgenital plate: Fig. 7C View FIGURE 7 .—Right phallomere: Fig. 7D View FIGURE 7 .
Female: identity as in male doubtful.
