Figs. 2A,E View FIGURE 2 , 3D View FIGURE 3 , 5A,B View FIGURE 5 , 20E View FIGURE 20 , 21A View FIGURE 21
Etymology. The species name refers to the long hairs (Latin pili) on various parts of the body.
Diagnosis. Tegmina as in the following species slightly marbled, distinguished by differences in shape and colouration of the tegmina and differences in leg structures.
Material studied. Holotype, 1♂, Moroc, Agadir-Ademine , 2.–21.XI.1974, G. Friedel leg. (prep.: Bo 1329). — Paratype, 1♂, same data as holotype (prep.: Bo 1358). ( ZSM) .
Description of male. Size. Length of pronotum: 4.5 mm; length of tegmina 15.0– 15.5 mm.
Colouration. Head with vertex and frons dark brown, almost black, postclypeus reddish, anteclypeus and labrum straw-coloured. Pronotum along the anterior margin with lightly coloured, towards the middle strongly broadening band, median third transparent, lateral parts orange; posterior surface brown, in the center lighter brown with darker marbling, towards posteriorly and laterally darker brown ( Fig. 21A View FIGURE 21 ). Tegmina pale brownish, almost transparent, faintly darker marbled, anal field slightly darker brown, dark brown stripe along the basal part of the subcosta, anal furrow transparent, costal field whitish transparent ( Fig. 20E View FIGURE 20 ). Remaining body ochreous.
Head. Eyes and ocelli equidistant, distance equals diameter of ocelli. Interocellar depression without distinct foveolae.
Pronotum. Anterior border mesally with a weak sinusoidal projection, lateral borders subtruncate ( Fig. 21A View FIGURE 21 ).
Wings. Relatively short. Tegmina rather broad, in the last third of the length narrowing to the almost angularly rounded apex situated far anteriorly, anterior and posterior border quite regularly rounded, weakly in the first, more strongly in the latter; with about 16 veinal branches in the discoidal field ( Fig. 20E View FIGURE 20 ).
Other characters. Hindfemora: along the ventral edges—in contrast to H. jeffreyana — without tiny spinules ( Fig. 2E View FIGURE 2 ).—Tibia armament: [1.8.0][6.8.1][(9)10·7·4], dorsal spines of the hindtibia in two groups à (6)7 and 3, ventral spines in two groups à 2, spines of the proximal pair at some distance; hindtibia especially proximally with very long bristles reaching the length of the spines ( Fig. 2A View FIGURE 2 ).—Subgenital plate: Fig. 5A View FIGURE 5 .—Right phallomere: Fig. 5B View FIGURE 5 .
Female: unknown.
