C. Subgenus Leiopteroblatta Chopard, 1969 , stat. nov.
Type species. Leiopteroblatta monodi Chopard, 1969 View in CoL
Diagnosis. Distinguished from the other subgenera by the shortened wings and the spineless midtibia.
Male characters. Wings: strongly shortened and veinless, scarcely supassing the abdominal end.—Tibia armament: armament of fronttibia [1.5.0]; midtibia slightly flattened, without any spine [0.0.0]; hindtibia distinctly broadened and flattened, ventrally with a row of 4 long spines including one apical spine, dorsally at the end of the tibia with a second apical spine [0.2.3], but no proper dorsal spines.—Subgenital plate: presumably without stronger bristles (specimen not available for making microscopical preparations).—Right phallomere: Type 5b, Fig. 13B View FIGURE 13 .
Female: unknown.
