5. Genus Fissidentoblatta , gen. nov.

Type species. Arenivaga (Psammoblatta) afghana Bey-Bienko, 1967 View in CoL .

Diagnosis. Distinguished from the other genera in question by the armament of the fronttibia with only 7 apical spines, but 2 dorsal spines [2.7.0], and the structure of the right phallomere (Type 3).

Male characters. Wings: fully developed, tegmina without a subcosta lobe.—Femur armament: frontfemur without, mid- and hindfemur with an apical spine.—Tibia armament: [2.7.0][n.7.n][n.7.n].—Tarsal arolia: present or absent.—Subgenital plate: with strong bristles only along the posterior margin, with or without styli.—Supraanal plate: very short, posterior border slightly convex or straight.—Cercal tricholiths:>5 per anulus.

Number of species: 2 (Nos. 44–45).
