Chrysis arrestans Nurse, 1903: 42 . Holotype ♀; India: Gujarat: Deesa (NHMUK) ( smaragdula group).
Material examined. Uzbekistan: 1♂, 15 km NWW of Pop , 40°53′45″N 70°54′57″E, 20–21.V.2023, leg. M. Proshchalykin GoogleMaps ( PRC).
Remarks. Chrysis arrestans Nurse, 1903 was described on the female only from Deesa ( Gujarat), which was illustrated by Rosa (2023). The male is still apparently unknown and we temporarily associate the male collected in the sorroundings of Pop with this species because the particular shape of the apical teeth on the last tergum match the shape of C. arrestans female. However, some differences still exists, such as the body colouration (entirely blue and not green with blue bands) and the shape of the black spots on the second sternum (smaller than in the female type). We are not aware if these are dimorphic features for this species or intraspecific variation in between different regions. For the moment, we identify this male as C. arrogans waiting for the examination of more material.
Distribution. Uzbekistan (new record), India ( Gujarat), Pakistan ( Nurse 1903).
