Chrysis musa Semenov-Tian-Shanskij, 1954

Chrysis ( Hexachrysis) musa Semenov-Tian-Shanskij in Semenov-Tian-Shanskij & Nikol’skaya, 1954: 133. Holotype ♀; Iran: Megas ( paratype from Termez) ( ZISP, examined) ( smaragdula group).

Material examined. Uzbekistan: 1♂, 50 km W of Pahtakor, 24.V.1994, leg. M. Halada ( MHC); 1♀, 4 km NNE of Uchkulach , 40°33′40′′N 67°22′01′′E, on Limonium otolepis , 27.V.2023, leg. A. Fateryga GoogleMaps ( PRC).

Remarks. The male originating from Halada’s collection shows a different shape of the black spots on the second sternum, which are subrectangular with straight posterior margins, while in the examined types of C. musa the posterior margins are oblique. Moreover, the ratio between the first two flagellomeres is slightly different. Both diagnostic characters are also observed in other specimens from Turkmenistan, and may indicate a distinct, undescribed species. Further material is needed for evaluation.

Distribution. Iran, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan ( Semenov-Tian-Shanskij & Nikol’skaya, 1954).
