DESCRIPTION
Cephalis globular to hemispherical, smoothsurfaced, with pores of variable size and arrangement. Apical horn long, three-bladed, blades thin, gently pointed distally. Arches Al and AV well marked. Ventral spine very short, three-bladed. Feet long, three-bladed, strongly diverging and curved, tapering distally. No velum or remains of a velum visible in the specimens available.
REMARKS
Saitoum macilentum n. sp. may be compared to the Middle Jurassic Poulpus sp. of Takemura (1986) in having rather large pores and diverging, curved feet. Among the specimens assigned to this species some are different in the degree of divergence of feet or the thickness of cephalic wall.
