Distribution: Southeast of South America.

Countries: Brazil

Habitat: Mostly brackish waters.

Maximum size: 570 mm TL.

Material examined: MZUSP 15990 (1 al), Brazil, Rio Grande do Sul, canal of access to Lagoa dos Patos.
