The redimita View in CoL -group
The redimita -group is united by four homoplasious characters: the unique dorsal pattern on the opisthosoma (Ch. 19, state 4); the tear-shaped posterior ventral spine (Ch. 23, state 4); the angle of the embolus origin at 180° (Ch. 71, state 1); the tremendously lengthened insemination ducts (Ch. 94, state 8).
The redimita -group is the sister group of the annulipes -group which has a similar genital morphology. They share the flange-like RTA of the male palp (Ch. 48, state 4) and the narrowed U-shaped or V-shaped epigynal plate (Ch. 91, state 5).
