Vernacular Names: Ruppell's Broad-nosed Bat.

Synonyms: Scoteanax australis Iredale (ex MacGillivray) 1937 .

Distribution: E Queensland and E New South Wales ( Australia).

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (nt) as Nycticeius ruppellii .
