Lectotype (Fischerin Feddes Repert. 108: 113. 1997): Herb. Clifford: 324, Antirrhinum 11 (BM-000646231) .

Current name: Misopates orontium (L.) Raf. View in CoL ( Scrophulariaceae ).

Note: Sutton (Revis. Tribe Antirrhineae : 146. 1988) indicated the type as "probably LINN 767.61" but this statement is too imprecise to effect typification.
