Scrapter ornatipes COCKERELL, 1933b: 70 . Holotype ♀ (Van Reenen, South Africa) (NHML), examined.
Based on outer morphology and male genitalia S. ornatipes is clearly not conspecific with S. pallidipennis (COCKERELL) View in CoL and, thus, its status as a distinct species is here restored.
