Description of Brevundimonas nasdae View in CoL W4-2-3

Cells are Gram-staining-negative and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular, raised, and entire light yellow colored after 2 days on R2 A agar at 25° C. Positive for nitrate reduction, esculin hydrolysis, and arginine dihydrolase and urease and activities in API 20NE, but negative for indole production, glucose fermentation, and gelatinase and β -galactosidase activities. Does not utilize L-arabinose, D-mannose, N -acetyl-glucosamine, potassium gluconate, malic acid, trisodium citrate, D-mannitol, capric acid, adipic acid, and phenylacetic acid, but utilizes Dglucose and D-maltose. Strain W 4-2-3 (= NIBRBA 0000114204) was isolated from mineral water, Daejeon, Korea .
