Description of Altererythrobacter gangjinensis HME 9328
Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated, and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular, convex, entire, and ochre colored after 2 days on MA at 30°C. Positive for esculin hydrolysis and β -galactosidase activity. Negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, and arginine dihydrolase, gelatinase, and urease activities. Does not utilize D-glucose, L-arabinose, Dmannose, D-maltose, adipic acid, D-mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, malic acid, potassium gluconate, phenylacetic acid, trisodium citrate, and capric acid. Strain HME9328 (= NIBRBA0000114406) was isolated from a sea water sample, Shinan-gun, Korea.
