Description of Planktomarina temperata IMCC1933
Cells are Gram-staining-negative, flagellated, and rod-shaped. Colonies are small, circular, convex, and light beige colored after 10 days on MA at 25°C. Positive for esculin hydrolysis and β -galactosidase activity in API 20NE. Does not utilize D-glucose, D-mannose, D-mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, malic acid, trisodium citrate, phenylacetic acid, L-arabinose, capric acid, and adipic acid. Strain IMCC 1933 (= NIBRBA0000114256) was isolated from a seawater sample, Goseong-gun, Korea.
