Description of Ruegeria atlantica View in CoL F4

Cells are Gram-staining-negative and rod-shaped. Colonies are convex and creamy yellow colored after 3 days on MA at 25°C. Positive for nitrate reduction, esculin hydrolysis, and β -galactosidase and arginine dihydrolase activities. Negative for glucose fermentation, indole production, and urease and gelatinase activities. Does not utilize potassium gluconate, adipic acid, malic acid, Dglucose, L-arabinose, D-mannose, D-mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, phenylacetic acid, trisodium citrate, and capric acid. Strain F4 (= NIBRBA0000114348) was isolated from a gut of haliotis discus hannai, Korea.
