Chien 737 ( PE00024565 , lectotype designated by Lin et al. 2008b; isolectotypes A00025208 , CQNM0015726 View Materials , IBSC0278435 View Materials , NY00353932 , PE00883511 ) . Remaining syntypes: CHINA. Anhui [Anhwei]: Huangshan [Hwangshan], July 1925, R. C. Ching 3006 ( A00025029 , A00025030 , IBSC0278355 View Materials , NAU00017784 View Materials , PE00883540 , PE00883547 ).

Note:— In the protologue, Chien & Cheng (1931) designated fruiting specimen “ S. S. Chien 737 in Herb. Biol. Lab. Sci. Soc. China ” (now at NAS) and flowering specimen “ R. C. Ching 3006 in Nat. Centr. Univ. Nanking” (now at N) as types and they are syntypes under Art. 9.6. No syntype was able to be traced by the authors. Eleven isosyntypes, six duplicates of Chien 737 and six duplicates of Ching 3006 were traced. Among of them, the duplicates NAU00017784 View Materials and PE00883540 bear the identification label of Chien & Cheng, while PE00024565 bears printed label with the word “type”. Lin et al. (2008b) chose PE00024565 from isosyntypes as the lectotype. This is allowed under Art. 9.12.
