Derivation of Species Name: This species is named antennatus because of the odd antenna, with the tightly connected funicular antennomeres wider than long and subequal in width, and subequal in width to club, club not distinct from funicle, apical pilose area visible only as a small apical patch.

Description. Female; length, 12.8 mm, width 5.7 mm. Color black to dark red-brown. Rostrum long, strongly arcuate, laterally compressed, keeled on upper margin near base; finely punctate throughout but less so apically; basally with dense, fine, golden micropilosity. Antenna robust, all antennomeres tightly connected, scape slightly wider than funicle, funicle with antennomeres 2–6 much wider than long, strongly transverse; club somewhat elongate, basal part composing most of length, apical pilose portion circular in apical view, not or barely visible in lateral view, flat across truncate apex. Pronotum longer than wide, length/width 1.27. Elytra widest near base, lateral margins convergent towards apex, lacking micropilosity, intervals only with line of minute punctures. Legs each with femur more-or-less straight, slightly wider towards apex, inner margin of each edentate, tibia more-or-less straight along inner margin. Tarsus with tarsomere 1 ventrally with two narrow lines of pilosity, tarsomere 2 with pilosity limited to small, rounded, subapical patches, tarsomere 3 with ventral surface densely pilose in apical half, pilose pads round. Genitalia of female not examined. Male unknown.
