Length: female holotype 8.90 mm. male unknown.

External morphology. General color light to dark fuscous with large yellow markings on costa and base of clavus of forewings, veins marked with numerous small yellow spots.Head narrower than pronotum, anterior margin broadly rounded; crown narrow, carinate laterally, produced beyond anterior margin of eyes; pronotum large, nearly as long as median length of crown, surface bullated; mesonotum large, about twice as long as pronotum; forewings long, apex obtusely angled, venation as in genus; clypeus narrow, lateral margins broadly convex with distinct median longitudinal carina; clypellus short, less than 1/3 as long as clypeus, lateral margins divergent apically. Distribution. Para [ Brazil]

Material examined. Holotype female. Type / Para / Caelidia (sic) disintegrans . [printed on upper side, J Ofv K V A Forh I [printed on lower side].

Remarks. This species was cited as a junior synonym of Coelidia costalis Walker based on similar color patterns ( Nielson 1979: 323). After further study and comparison of both type specimens at hand, the validity of disintegrans is reinstated based on the following features: Larger size, crown narrower, not as distinctly carinate and eyes more bulbous. The species is clearly a member of the tribe Teruliini (presence of median longitudinal clypeal carina) and has external features that place it in the genus Paracarinolidia (Head much narrower than pronotum; crown very narrow, produced giving angulate appearance with lateral margins distinctly carinate). Comparison of the type female with identified females of Paracarinolidia amabilis (Linnavuori) and P. differta Nielson in the Utah State University collection confirmed generic placement. However, its relationship to other known species in the genus is problematical until male and associated female specimens become available.
