The genus Teramocerus View in CoL was recently revised ( Mantilleri 2015a) and is mostly characterized by one synapomorphy: the internal sac of aedeagus possesses a single large, more or less pointed sclerite in its proximal part. Four specimens in the collections of CMNC and INBIO did not fit perfectly with any of the species already described in this genus. Dissection of the male genitalia revealed the single large sclerite typical of Teramocerus View in CoL , but its shape is very different from those of any known taxa, leading me to describe a new taxon.
