Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished from others by the following combination of characters. Frons coriaceous. Hind coxa with basoventral tubercle. Hind femur in dorsal view coriaceous. Second metasomal tergum costulate-rugulose. Suture between second and third tergum, strong and straight. Every tergum, from fourth to last visible tergum, weakly coriaceous basally and smooth apically.

Description female. Body length: 3.70 mm.

Color. Head mainly brown-honey. Eye orbits yellow-honey. Malar space honey. Palpi pale yellow. Periocellar area dark brown. Scape yellow. Pedicel yellow. Antennae broken. Visible flagellomeres with the following color pattern from base to apex: yellow-brown-dark brown. Mesosoma mainly dark brown-black. Lateral mesoscutal lobes black. Median mesoscutal lobe dark brown-honey. Venter of mesosoma honey to dark brown. Pronotum honey to dark brown. Propodeum black, brown at apex. First tergum honey-brown. Second tergum honey-brown. Third tergum brown. Fourth tergum brown. Fifth tergum brown. Sixth tergum brown. Remaining terga brown except the last one, which is yellow. Fore and middle femur yellow-light brown. Fore and middle tibia yellow. Hind coxa honey yellow-brown. Hind trochanter pale yellow. Hind trochantellus pale yellow, brown at apex. Hind femur pale yellow basally, brown apically. Hind tibia pale yellow basally, light brown apically. Hind tarsi brown-yellow. Wings dusky. Veins mainly light brown. Tegula honey. Stigma white-brown.

Head. Clypeus weakly rugose. Head 0.80 x higher than wide. Face transversely costate. Face minimum width/ maximum width ratio 0.85. Frons coriaceous. Vertex coriaceous-transversely striate. Eye 1.23 x higher than wide. Ocell-ocular distance once diameter of lateral ocellus. Malar space 0.37 x eye height in lateral view. Temple/eye length ratio in dorsal view 0.41. Temple narrow. Supraclypeal area 0.50 x head height in frontal view. Gena-temple area smooth-weakly coriaceous. Scape 0.70 x first flagellomere length. Flagellomeres 17 (antennae broken).

Mesosoma. Pronotum costate-coriaceous laterally and weakly rugulose ventrally. Pronotal groove distinct. Pronotal groove laterally weakly scrobiculate-coriaceous. Propleuron coriaceous-weakly coriaceous-smooth. Mesoscutal lobes coriaceous. Notauli weakly scrobiculate, reaching the end of mesoscutum. Mesoscutum medially costate. Scutellum (scutellar disc) coriaceous. Subalar groove distinct and costate. Precoxal sulcus narrow, weakly scrobiculate; length 1.00 mesopleuron length. Mesopleuron costate dorsally, costate-coriaceous medially and coriaceous ventrally. Venter of mesosoma coriaceous. Metapleuron costate-weakly rugose. Propodeum costateweakly rugose. Propodeum with a median, longitudinal and complete carina. Propodeal apico-lateral corners absent. Propodeal tooth over hind coxa.

Wings: fore wing. 2RS/2M ratio 0.52. Vein m-cu reaching vein RS+Ma before vein 2RS. Vein (RS+M)b distinct. Vein (RS+M)b/2RS ratio 0.09. Vein r 0.42 length of vein 3 RSa. Vein 1cu-a slightly antefurcal to vein 1M. Hind wing. Vein M+CU/1M ratio 0.61. Vein m-cu nebulous. Vein cu-a 0.12 length of 1M. Vein r-m/1M ratio 0.41. Vein SC+R complete.

Legs. Hind coxa dorsally costate-rugose. Ventral part of hind coxa weakly rugose-coriaceous. Hind coxa with basoventral tubercle. Hind coxa 0.60 length of hind femur. Femora without a rounded protrusion in dorso-medial view. Hind femur in dorsal view coriaceous.

Metasoma. Basal sternal plate length/first tergum length ratio 0.61. First tergum 2.07 x longer than apical width. First tergum costate-rugulose. Second tergum costulate-rugulose. Third tergum finely costulate-rugulose on basal half, weakly coriaceous-smooth on apical half. Suture between second and third tergum present. Suture between second and third tergum strong. Suture between second and third tergum straight. Every tergum, from fourth to last visible tergum, weakly coriaceous basally and smooth apically. Ovipositor 2.90 mm long. Ovipositor 1.38 x length of metasoma. Ovipositor 3.87–4.14 x length of first tergum.

Variation with respect to holotype. Female. Body length: 2.70–3.70 mm. Color. Head mainly yellow-brown. Eye orbits honey yellow. Malar space honey yellow. Periocellar area honey-dark brown. Mesosoma mainly black. Lateral mesoscutal lobes dark brown. Median mesoscutal lobe brown-honey yellow, or dark brown. Venter of mesosoma dark brown. Pronotum honey. Propodeum black. First tergum honey-dark brown. Second tergum dark brown-honey. Third tergum dark brown-brown, or brown basomedially and apically with a transversal honey yellow stripe. Fourth tergum honey-brown. Fifth tergum honey-brown. Sixth tergum honey-brown. Hind femur yellow basally, brown apically and at apex yellow. Hind tarsi yellow. Tegula yellow.

Head. Clypeus weakly rugose-granulate. Face minimum width/maximum width ratio 0.85–0.91. Eye 1.23– 1.25 x higher than wide. Malar space 0.29–0.38 x eye height in lateral view. Temple/eye length ratio in dorsal view 0.39–0.44. Supraclypeal area 0.40–0.50 x head height in frontal view. Scape 0.54–0.72 x first flagellomere length. Flagellomeres 24.

Mesosoma. Pronotum weakly costate-coriaceous laterally and weakly coriaceous ventrally. Propodeal spine or tooth over hind coxa absent.

Wings: fore wing. 2RS/2M ratio 0.52–0.60. Vein (RS+M)b/2RS ratio 0.06–0.09. Vein r 0.40–0.63 length of vein 3 RSa. Vein 1cu-a interstitial to vein 1M. Hind wing. Vein M+CU/1M ratio 0.58–0.71. Vein cu-a 0.12–0.14 length of 1M. Vein r-m/1M ratio 0.31–0.43.

Legs. Hind coxa dorsally rugose-rugulose. Ventral part of hind coxa coriaceous. Hind coxa 0.60–0.70 length of hind femur.

Metasoma. Basal sternal plate length/first tergum length ratio 0.61–0.66. First tergum 2.05–2.23 x longer than apical width. Ovipositor 1.85–2.90 mm long. Ovipositor 1.23–1.46 x length of metasoma. Ovipositor 3.70–3.87 x length of first tergum.

Etymology. This species is named in honor of Paul Marsh for his immense contribution to the knowledge of the subfamily Doryctinae .
