Small, slender insects (fig. 43), Ocelli absent and compound eyes reduced (fig. 44). Fore tibia with three dactyls, two movable and a fixed ventral one. Tympanum absent (fig. 47). Both sexes wingless. Phallic complex: Not examined.

Type species. Triamescaptor aotea Tindale, 1928 .
