Siobla reticulatia Wei, 1998 , in Wei & Nie, 1998: 143. Ƥ, type locality: Songxian, Henan ( China).

Redescription. Holotype: Ƥ. Length, 15 mm ( Figs 3 View FIGURE 3 a, 6f). Body metallic blue with labrum purple, palpi dark brown, fore femur anteriorly, venter of fore tibia and fore tarsus, and a yellowish brown spot near spiracle on each of 2nd and 3rd abdominal tergites; apical 4 tarsomeres of hind leg dark brown; forewing weakly infuscated, apex darker, most of cell C dark brown with base and apex blackish brown, hind wing hyaline, vein and stigma black. Hairs silvery.

Head densely and coarsely punctured without distinct interspaces ( Fig. 19 View FIGURE 19 m); thorax densely punctured, mat; anterior slope of mesoscutellum densely punctured except a linear middle longitudinal shiny stripe; posttergite microsculptured; metascutellum coarsely punctured; upper half of mesepisternum densely and coarsely punctured and lower half with sparse punctures; mesepimeron microsculptured with upper margin coarsely and densely punctured, posterior margin shiny; upper half of metepisternum shallowly punctured, other parts with obscure punctures; middle and posterior of metepimeron shiny, upper margin coarsely punctured; 1st abdominal tergite shiny with minute punctures in middle and obscure punctures on lateral sides, other tergites densely microsculptured.

Hairs on dorsum of head as long as transverse diameter of median ocellus. Anterior margin of clypeus truncate; malar space 0.8 × transverse diameter of median ocellus; lower interocular distance nearly as long as eye height; supraantennal tubercle weakly elevated; middle fovea shallow and broad, lateral fovea deep, pit like; interocellar furrow narrow and deep, postocellar furrow broad and shallow; postocellar area flat, obviously lower than top of ocelli ( Fig. 19 View FIGURE 19 n), without middle carina, about 1.3 × as broad as long; lateral furrows narrow, slightly curved outwards, parallel posteriorly; head behind eyes 0.8 × eyes in length in dorsal view, slightly convex at base and narrowing posteriorly. Antenna subequal to abdomen and 1.1 × combined head and thorax length. Mesoscutellum roundly elevated, without middle carina ( Fig. 19 View FIGURE 19 o); posttergite with an obtuse middle carina; metascutellum without middle carina; mesepisternum without ventral spur. Metabasitarsus 4.1 × as long as broad, 0.8 × length of remaining 4 tarsomeres combined; hind inner tibial spur 0.5 × length of metabasitarsus. Hind wing with petiole of anal cell equal to 1/3 length of cu-a. Ovipositor sheath about 1.3 × as long as middle tibia, apical sheath longer than basal sheath. Lancet as in Fig. 10 View FIGURE 10 a, apical and 4th to 5th serrulae as in Fig. 13 View FIGURE 13 c.

Male: Length, 12 mm (3b, 6g). Similar to female in structure and color, but most of fore femur, anterior of middle femur, most of middle tibia and tarsus and a spot on anterior of hind femur pale brown; 2nd to 4th abdominal sternites yellowish brown; malar space linear, head behind eyes 0.8 × eyes in length in dorsal view, obviously narrowing posteriorly ( Fig. 20 View FIGURE 20 a); hairs on dorsum of head curved, 1.3 × transverse diameter of median ocellus; postocellar area in lateral view as Fig. 20 View FIGURE 20 b; mesoscutellum in lateral view as Fig. 20 View FIGURE 20 c; subgenital plate as long as broad, posterior margin round; genitalia as in Figs 14 View FIGURE 14 i, 15i.

Variation. The right antenna in holotype has a minute 10th antennomere. One female (not a type) with an obscure middle carina on postocellar area. The pale spot on anterior of hind femur in male varies in size.
